The facility will feature 50 acres of clinical area which will include a full-scale emergency room, several operating rooms, a cardiology lab, and a radiology department. The hospital will also have 250 beds for in-patient care. Currently, there are no private hospitals in Negril, Jamaica to fully maintain the global market, notwithstanding the more than one million tourists that travel to Jamaica annually. Health tourism is essentially the practice of traveling to a tourist destination with the main purpose of receiving health care (W. Mendes Davidson 2011). Medical tourism,-also called medical travel health tourism, or global healthcare, is a term originally coined by travel agencies and the mass media to describe the rapidly-growing practice of traveling across international borders to obtain health care. Hence, to complement the aforementioned, Negril International Hospital and its professional staff will will be able to provide such professional healthcare at a minimal cost.

PRE-PRIMARY PREVENTION
This category of prevention is referred to as “HEALTH LIFESTYLE OR THE WELLNESS STAGE” (a state of Health) and its methods are no different from those used by five star hotels in their exotic spas, gyms, the use of fragrances, aromas, cosmetics and other customer-friendly services to enhance relaxation to minimize psychological and physical stress. The Negril International Hospital wellness programs will revolve around the following five pillars of wellness services:

Restful sleep
Good nutrition
Physical exercise
Coping with and reducing the impact of stress
Healthy and customer-friendly environment (Ambience, aesthetics etc.)
These services are the least expensive and the most affordable and present enormous opportunities for innovative, creative, and culture specific measures to establish global branding and competitiveness of the Health tourism product e.g. (1) The Bob Marley’s music of “One love and Feeling Alright” message as an entree into stress reduction intervention measures (2) Jamaica’s athletic prowess, to assimilate the values of athletic prowess and success within the physical exercise intervention component of wellness.
